Who I am
-
As your counselor, my goal is to support you in becoming the most authentic and empowered version of yourself. I believe that while our past experiences shape our understanding of the world, those lessons may not always serve us in the present. Without flexibility and growth, we can become entangled in outdated beliefs, unhelpful thinking patterns, and unresolved issues that make it difficult to manage life’s current challenges. I find deep fulfillment in helping clients discover new perspectives and witness meaningful change. I have had the privilege of working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with a wide range of needs. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Humanistic approaches, using humor, reflective inquiry, and clear, candid communication. I believe therapy should be honest, effective, and even enjoyable.
-
I believe that all humans have a fundamental need to feel safe, connected, and empowered. These needs are supported through the development of awareness, resilience, self compassion, emotional insight, and openness. My work is grounded in a genuine, empathetic therapeutic relationship where clients feel seen and heard. I value an integrative and person centered approach that honors the whole person, including mind, body, and emotional experience, while allowing space for growth and self discovery at an individual pace.

I hold a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from Walden University, with a concentration in trauma informed care. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Licensed Addiction Counselor, with additional certifications in Art Therapy, Play Therapy, and Sandplay Therapy. My career began with a focus on supporting children and families experiencing high levels of stress, trauma, and the impact of substance use. This foundation continues to inform my work with both adults and children on an individual basis. Whether through traditional talk therapy or creative modalities, I believe healing can happen when the therapeutic process is tailored to each person’s unique way of understanding and expressing their inner world.
